How Rentz Intelligence works

When you submit a search, your natural-language query is sent through the Rentz Intelligence API, where the system first interprets your requirements using AI and rule-based query understanding. The search engine then combines structured property matching with semantic vector search powered by PostgreSQL and pgvector. These signals are evaluated together by the hybrid ranking engine, which calculates how well each property matches your request and returns the highest-ranked results to the frontend. This allows Rentz to understand not only exact requirements such as location, budget, bedrooms, and furnishing, but also the meaning and context behind the way a user describes what they want.
